Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Coppell is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms and/or individuals to provide retail strategy development services. In particular, the Consultant will assist the City of Coppell Community Development Department in analyzing the retail environment as it relates to the City’s economic development objectives. The retail strategy should address the facilitation of retail growth and retention in the City as well as understand the retail landscape of the City and identify retail gaps. The strategy should also specifically address the feasibility of attracting the dining retail experiences as identified in the 2024 Retail and Dining Survey. The retail strategy development should include three key phases: 1. Market Analysis (Deliverable: Market Analysis Report) a. The consulting firm/individual will conduct a site assessment of the City’s market trade area and profile the customer’s buying habits, lifestyle characteristics and media habits. The results of the assessment will be used to guide the elected officials and City staff to make decisions and commitments to grow the City’s retail sector and shape goals and policy long term.
