The City of Dallas Department of Transportation (City) is seeking Statements of Qualification (SOQs) from experienced civil engineering firms who can demonstrate they have the resources, experience, and qualifications to provide engineering services for the development of design schematics, environmental documents in support of the schematic work, public involvement, plans, specifications, and estimates. These services may include, but are not limited to, preparing bridge and roadway design, hydrologic and hydraulic design, traffic engineering, operations and signal design, right-of-way mapping, utility adjustment coordination, subsurface utility engineering, utility engineering, survey, geotechnical data collection, traffic control plan, railroad coordination, schedule development, and if requested, provide construction phase services necessary to support the design process for: Phase I/Project 1 – evaluation of traffic rerouting due to the demolition of a portion of the Convention Center over Lamar Street to be completed by June 1, 2025, and the demolition of the Jefferson Boulevard Viaduct at Market Street and redirection of traffic to an alternate route, to be completed by November 1, 2025; and Phase II/Project II – complete realignment of the northern end of Jefferson Boulevard Viaduct from North of TxDOT’s right of way over I-35E to connect with Hotel Street/Memorial Drive at grade (schedule will be coordinated with the KBHCCD’s A/E team), to include but not limited to the scope of services outlined in the RFQ packet.
