Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is requesting proposals to facilitate a series of high-quality and engaging trainings covering the Research Based Instructional Strategies (RBIS) across all core content areas or other categories that arise based on the needs from the field in an in-person format. These trainings will be a series of train the trainer (ToT) sessions and general training sessions. These trainings should meet the needs of a variety of stakeholders, including but not limited to: TEA staff, Education Service Center (ESC) staff, instructional coaches, and vendors working in the high-quality instructional materials space in education. Proposers should propose a plan for developing trainings that are interactive, engaging, and aligned to best practices in adult learning, along with developing materials for those trained in ToT sessions to redeliver effective and high-quality sessions. The awarded contractor will be expected to develop and deliver a series of ToT sessions to build a deep RBIS expertise across Texas, with sessions customized to each group of stakeholders. The awarded contractor should also be prepared to make updates to trainings and materials as continuous improvements are made on the RBIS or new RBIS are added. In addition to training development, the awarded contractor will also be responsible for creating, in coordination with TEA and other stakeholders, assessment-specific RBIS that can be subject agnostic and continuously improve those over time. Lastly, the awarded contractor will design and develop asynchronous modules in a learning management system (LMS) for newly developed RBIS that are accompanied with facilitation and discussion notes.
