Specifications include, but are not limited to: The District is seeking a resource reading program(s) specifically designed for two populations of students. The District would consider programs with blended resources. All bidders should include samples of the program which includes a teacher edition and a sample of student consumables. The sample must be furnished free of expense to the District on or before the notified deadline. All samples will become the property of the District. Each sample must be marked with the vendor’s name and address. Population A: Designed for students who receive special education services in grades 6th-8th and whose ARDC determines resource reading is needed down to at least a Lexile level of 215(BR). This course is in addition to the core RLA classroom, therefore, supplements general education instruction to close achievement gaps in writing, phonics, basic reading skills, and comprehension. Population B: Designed for students who receive special education services in grades 9th-12th and whose ARDC determines Fundamentals of English is needed down to at least a Lexile level of 500. This course is a replacement for general education instruction (English I, English II, English III, English IV).
