A. Maintain Year-Round Audience Engagement. 1. As an annual Symposium held in December, SABCS generates the bulk of its activity and interest (as well as website traffic) in Q4 each year, with the exception of brief spikes in attention and traffic around other relevant deadlines (i.e., opening of housing in May, abstract deadline in early July, discounted registration deadline in late October). 2. The Symposium organizers would like to engage the breast cancer community throughout the year by producing enduring content such as podcasts, blog posts, and news items. 3. The new website should support these new content initiatives and convey a sense of place and organizational culture consistent with the SABCS and AACR brands. 4. Provide an accessible and user-friendly experience through engaging web content for all those who visit the site. B. Admin Control Over All Page Configuration/Posting. 1. While the current Symposium website is built on an open-source platform, the configuration and posting of certain high-profile pages requires the assistance of the site developers. 2. The new website Content Management System (CMS) should enable admin users on the UTHSA and AACR staffs to perform all publishing functions. C. Posting Multiple Meetings Simultaneously. 1. The current website can only display the parent and child pages for one Symposium at a time. However, there are times of the year during which users may be interested in both the previous meeting (i.e., session recordings, Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit, Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) credit, etc.) and the upcoming meeting (deadlines for abstracts, housing, registration, etc.) at the same time. 2. The new website should support the simultaneous display of multiple meetings.
