1. Contractor will provide all labor, materials, and any needed rental equipment to remove and dispose of the existing units listed below: • 1 (One) – 2.5 ton split system • 1 (One) – 5 ton package unit • 1 (One) – 3 ton package unit 2. Contractor will provide and install: • 1 (One) – 3 ton 2 stage heat pump split system • 1 (One) – 5 ton two stage heat pump package unit • 1 (One) – 3 ton two stage heat pump package unit • The new condensing unit will be placed in the same footprint occupied by the existing unit. • Bidder must specifically provide, within its response, the type of HVAC equipment they intend to install. • The new air handler will be installed above the drop ceiling and will have an emergency drain pan in accordance with the Specification. • Remove and replace all 25 (Twenty-five) supply grilles and registers with new grilles having the same distribution pattern and flow rate as the old. • Remove and replace 2 (Two) return air filter grilles located in Hallway A1H2. • (3) Three Digital programmable thermostats • Whips • Hardware • Any other miscellaneous materials needed for fully functional systems. 3. Unit are 208/230 single phase. • The contractor will replace the existing disconnects and whips to each unit. • The contractor is to verify all conduit will be of sufficient size to comply with National Electric Code (NEC) standard for the size wire needed to comply with the Minimum Circuit Ampacity (MCA) of the new units. • The contractor will be responsible for all the line voltage electrical wiring from the distribution panel to the local disconnect switch and to the unit. Including any needed breakers. Low voltage control wiring will also be the contractor’s responsibility. All control wiring for all six units will be replaced. 4. Contractor will connect the cooling coil drains with 7/8” O.D. type “L” copper pipe. 5. Contractor will replace all refrigerant piping with new type L hard copper tubing. 6. Contractor will provide start-up, warranty on materials & labor. 7. Contractor will provide an independent certified Test and Balance Company to perform a NEBB or AABC certified test of the systems. See specification for requirements. Provide this report to DPS for approval.
