Specifications include, but are not limited to: The District is seeking proposals from firms (“Proposer”) qualified and experienced in providing and delivering programs and presenters to address substance abuse counseling services. The District seeks to find direct and indirect services to support staff and provide education services to students to support the well‐being of our students and provide for continued academic success. The district is seeking on‐site staff member(s) to achieve the following goals: 1. Provide direct substance abuse addiction remediation services to students, staff, and families identified and referred by district staff for the following: a. Smoking b. Vaping c. Alcohol d. Other drugs as needed 2. Provide direct substance abuse counseling services to students and families in need who do not meet the qualification listed in (1) but meet additional district qualifications and who are referred by district staff. 3. Provide curriculum and curriculum‐based group education to secondary students. 4. Provide coordinated community resources and continued education and training to students and families, including mentoring and social services. 5. Connect students and families to critical educational and community‐based resources by identifying specific needs of students to keep students focused in education. 6. Provide substance abuse prevention educational opportunities for all students. 7. Provide substance abuse prevention training to district staff members. 8. Comply with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protecting students’ educational records and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPAA) protecting confidentiality and security of healthcare information. The referral process will allow individuals to refer students for evaluation.
