The training must provide a curriculum that will allow the trainee to implement the following: In five to six sessions, either in person or remotely parents and caregivers will learn specific actions that promote healthy development and reduce risky behavior in the teen years. Home practice and weekly family meetings build family connections and help families apply skills in real life. The training material must be inclusive of emphasizing strong family bonds as the key that motivates preteens to follow family guidelines and stay on a course toward better health and educational outcomes as teenagers.The curriculum must provide family skills-training designed for parents and their children ages 9-14. The goals of the curriculum must have material that the trainee can implement to enhance positive parent-child interactions and help parents prevent their children's drug use and related behavioral problems. The program curriculum must have an interactive, multimedia curriculum that uses a variety of strategies to teach new skills, including modeling in videos; role-play; guided, small and large group discussions; and home practice activities.
