Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project entails the replacement of our current web design with a new one that brings the full functionality of the University’s traditional/desktop website design to the small screen, incorporating our new branding elements, basing functionality improvements on actual observations of current website visitor behavior, and optimizing the new website to improve user experience according to recent trends in website consumption. The new website should capture the attention of prospective students, current students, faculty and staff, donors, and the community at large. The content should be interesting and fresh with strong imagery and should promote meaningful social media activity. It should clearly communicate our status as a growing research university with serious academics, and a culture that has been described as “smarts required, nerdiness optional.” At the same time, the new website should serve the current user community by directly supporting their desire to access commonly used online resources as quickly as possible.
