Specifications include, but are not limited to: The TDCJ requires services to install a self-contained VSS video surveillance and recording in its security vehicles. The purpose of the VSS is to provide visual confirmation and general surveillance aboard security vehicles. The VSS shall include IP management and recording systems. The VSS will utilize a cellular connection as a transmission medium for video, configuration, as well as storage of all data. The system shall be compatible with cameras from multiple manufacturers and shall support standard resolution and megapixel High Definition (HD) cameras. 1.2 Each vehicle will require the following two (2) components: 1) video system design, software and implementation; 2) component hardware. All components will follow the applicable standards identified in Section 3 "System Requirements." 1.3 The Contractor(s) will provide all necessary materials and labor to complete the defined scope of work. 1.4 Video camera surveillance coverage will include a general coverage of the following areas, with additional/removal of field coverage to be disclosed at the time of the vehicle assessment/inspection. 1.4.1 Dashcam view of area directly in front of vehicle 1.4.2 Driver compartment view to encompass all persons in compartment 1.4.3 View of each inmate seating section of transport vehicle 1.4.4 On buses: view of officer compartment in rear of bus 1.4.5 Rear view of area directly behind vehicle 1.4.6 On buses: view of area just outside entry door
