The District offers vision coverage to all full-time and regular part-time employees. The District does not offer vision coverage to retirees. The District has approximately 6,700 benefits-eligible employees and 9,840 covered lives on the plans. Employees are eligible the first day of the month following date of hire The District currently offers a voluntary triple-option fully insured vision plan. VSP is the current claims administrator and network provider since 2011. The vision plans are funded by contributions the employee.
