Specifications include, but are not limited to: Development and Implementation of Program Curriculum, Tool and Activity Kits, and Outreach Requirements 4.1.1 Program Curriculum 4.1.1.1 The program must allow for multiple methods of delivery to correspond with the learning styles of students and by developing age-appropriate education. This program shall be free to schools and organizations and designed to also be conducted during summer and school breaks. All costs shall be included in the proposal. The program curriculum, tool kits, and activity kits require the City’s written approval and are due five weeks after contract execution. Four programs are needed to reach target audiences in the following grade levels: A) Kindergarten – 3rd grade; B) 4th – 5th grade; C) 6th – 8th grade; and D) 9th– 12th grade. 4.1.2.1 The program’s curriculum shall: 4.1.2.1.1 Correspond with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (“TEKS”) requirements; 4.1.2.1.2 Be translated and implemented in Spanish and ASL, when requested by the City, teacher or organization; (The City reserves the right to add additional languages to the Program, as applicable). 4.1.2.1.3 Accommodate direct requests from ARR; and 4.1.2.1.4 Allow for real-world examples. (This may include field trips, if appropriate. The school or organization shall be responsible for planning and receiving approval from parents and students regarding field trips, as well as for all costs associated with field trips including transportation, administration, etc.).
