A. Tarrant County asks that a certified communications contractor, submit a proposal to deliver, install, test, commission, warrant, and document the proposed Structured Cabling System. The new structured cabling system will be installed at the Tarrant County Building located at 350 W. Belknap in Fort Worth. B. The project will follow the specifications as outlined in this document. 1. No subcontractors will be authorized for use in this installation. No material substitutions will be authorized. 2. Attendance at the Pre-Bid conference for this job is highly recommended. 3. Bidder MUST provide proof of being an Ortronics Certified Installer Plus (CIP) in the state of Texas. This certification allows companies to offer warranties for properly registered and approved projects in the state of Texas. A current copy of Ortronics Certified Installer Plus certificate must be submitted with bid. 4. Bidder MUST provide discussion of any litigation that is pending, in progress, or finalized involving any of the company’s installation projects. This discussion must include litigation of installations of the bidder’s subsidiaries, their parent company’s projects, or their parent company’s subsidiaries. The discussion must also include any mediation, arbitration, or any other legal action in the last five (5) years. 5. Prior to award recommendation, successful bidder will provide a staffing plan, including a resume for the project manager and lead technician. This staffing plan must include names and amount of experience for each individual. 6. Prior to award recommendation, successful bidder will provide a company organizational chart that includes any parent company and local principals. It must include project managers to be associated with the project, 7. Prior to award recommendation, successful bidder will provide a proposed project schedule. 8. Considerations other than cost alone will be used in making determination of the successful bidder. 9. The project manager and the lead technician will be required to attend a weekly in-person meeting with a representative of Tarrant County on the job site at which time a written status report must be provided to the County representative. 10. Any employee assigned to this project will require authorization from Tarrant County for a background check to be performed and reviewed. Tarrant County reserves the right to disapprove any employee. Tarrant County will be responsible for performing the background checks.
