Specifications include, but are not limited to: Garland Power & Light (GP&L) is seeking Proposal(s) from qualified Offerors to provide procurement and warehouse operations for inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment for GP&L’s Distribution Division. It is the intent of GP&L to select a single Offeror for the procurement and operations to accomplish services outlined in this Request for Proposal. These services will support GP&L’s Distribution construction and maintenance activities to ensure reliable electric service is provided to its customers. The purpose of the RFP is twofold: 1) to solicit sealed proposals to establish an agreement for the procurement of supplies, materials, and equipment for GP&L’s Distribution construction and operations activities. The selected Offeror will hold the exclusive right to provide most electric supplies; however, GP&L retains the discretion to exclude specific items throughout the contract. This encompasses materials related to projects that GP&L may opt to contract separately. The chosen vendor retains the opportunity to bid on and secure contracts for such materials. 2) to establish an agreement for the staffing and effective, cost-efficient management of GP&L’s Distribution warehouse and materials yards located at 1720 Commerce St, Garland, Texas.
