Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Burial Services (ALL burial line items): A. Furnish transportation of the body from the morgue to the funeral home and from the site of service to the grave for internment. B. Preparation of remains/embalming. C. Furnish clothing (if necessary). D. Furnish burial casket (non-sealed metal) E. Arrangement and Supervision (except Direct Burial): a. Conducting the arrangements conference b. planning the funeral c. consulting with the family and clergy d. preparing and filing of necessary notices e. coordinating with the cemetery or other third parties. F. Obtain the death certificate and securing burial permits and authorizations. G. Arrange for a free grave plot through the Department of Public Works. H. Provide a grave marker for identification of the grave location I. Provide pall bearers when there are no available individuals identified by the family. 2. Cremation Services (ALL cremation line items): A. Furnish transportation of the body from the morgue to the funeral home. B. Preparation of/for remains/cremation C. Furnish combination unit-alternative container and urn D. Arrangement and Supervision (except Direct Cremation): a. conducting the arrangements conference b. planning the funeral c. consulting with the family and clergy d. preparing and filing of necessary notices e. coordinating with the cemetery, crematory, or other third parties. E. Obtain the death certificate and secure burial permits and authorizations. F. Humanely dispose of remains, if no next of kin has been made available. G. Arrange shipment of remains (if necessary).
