Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this contract is to provide Mechanical Roadside Maintenance and Gut Cleaning Services along the public right-of-way, including the cutting of bush, low hanging trees that affect safe traffic operations, removal and disposal of discarded items, gut cleaning services, roadside cleaning, and maintenance services within the District of St. Croix as directed by an authorized representative from the Department of Public Works (DPW). The Department reserves the right to utilize a Contractor in an emergency or as needed to maintain the roadsides. The Contractor shall service and maintain roadways, and guts at a minimum rate of five thousand, five hundred (5,500) linear feet per day. The Contractor will not be penalized if weather conditions, site conditions, terrain (determined by the DPW Program Manager), or insufficient task orders issuance hamper performance.
