A Non-mandatory Project Preview Meeting will be held at 2:00 P.M. (local time) on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the City of Orem Offices, 56 North State Street, Orem, UT 84057 in the City Council Conference Room. All interested bidders are invited to attend.
Lakeview Parkway is a regional arterial roadway that is planned to extend from the I-15/University Avenue Interchange in Provo, Utah to approximately 1500 South/Geneva Road in Orem, Utah. Lakeview Parkway has been constructed from the I-15/University Avenue Interchange to 1280 North in Provo. The City of Orem plans to release the advertisement for bids to construct the section of Lakeview Parkway from 2000 South (Orem/Provo city boundary) to approximately 1500 South in summer 2024. Construction is expected to be completed in Fall 2025.
The City of Orem will conduct this Non-mandatory Project Preview Meeting to review the project scope, schedule, and risks with contractors and answer project related questions. The goal of the meeting is to obtain comments from contractors and provide an early preview of the project to allow contractors to prepare quality bids.
The Lakeview Parkway project is a new 5-lane roadway with curb, gutter, sidewalk, landscaped park strips, and a multi-use trail. The project will also include a large diameter storm drain, sanitary sewer, and culinary water lines. The existing irrigation ditches and pipes in the project footprint will be either restored or replaced, and less than 0.1 acres of wetlands will be impacted.
