Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Qualifications: o Five or more years professional directly related experience. o Experience with database and systems management. o Experience conducting monitoring of subrecipients, financial statement or single audits. o Has an eye for detail and is meticulous in their work. o No conflicts of interest with any members of the charter school board or administration. o Exhibits the ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing. • Job Description: o Checking on financial operations at the school including budgeting, procurement, and reserves o Mentor current business manager o Participate in weekly meetings with State Charter School Board (SCSB) staff o Encourage the school to resolve any concerns brought up by the charter school or the SCSB. o Be aware of all deficiencies and provide specific training and support as requested by the charter school or by SCSB, as appropriate. o Conduct site visits and audits to monitor compliance with rules, regulations and reporting standards. o Providing professional development to charter school board members, school administration, and charter school business manager. o Prepare written reports, findings, conclusions, or recommendations and presenting them to various levels of governing bodies. o Provide advice in developing written policies/procedures regarding financial reporting and compliance. o Work onsite Monday through Friday, 7am-5pm, unless otherwise directed by the charter school and SCSB.
