Specifications include, but are not limited to: ● Provide integrated virtual ESL and civics instruction to students at a high beginner to intermediate English level around the state of Utah to prepare them to pass the naturalization exam ● Plan and implement lesson plans that are aligned with the program curriculum required by USCIS and that incorporate the USCIS educational materials ● Deliver citizenship content that incorporates English vocabulary and grammar skill development, as well as the required reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills for the citizenship test ● Host a minimum of four virtual citizenship preparation courses during the implementation phase. ● Regularly assess student progress and adapt lesson plans to meet student learning needs. ● Work closely with local implementation partners to recruit and conduct an intake assessment of prospective students ● Ensure that any student information required for eligibility and reporting purposes is collected and regularly updated. Keep accurate attendance records. ● Participate in all planning meetings for the Utah Citizenship Initiative with technical advisors and implementation partners ● Work with regional partners to address barriers to digital access and skills ● Maintain strict client confidentiality and observe all other ethical practices/obligations ● Recruit and manage intern and volunteer support for in-person and virtual services. ● Compliance with USCIS standards for legal assistance. ● Participate in grant reporting, including any statistical, narrative, and financial reports.
