Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contract is for the UPTN and establish and developed a multi-stakeholder, pediatric trauma quality improvement program and network (the Utah Pediatric Trauma Network), in accordance with the Utah Emergency Medical Services System Act (Utah Code §§ 26-8a-205 and -250) and as encouraged by 2018 Senate Joint Resolution 6. Develop, refine, and recommend methodology, standards, and guidelines to reduce morbidity, mortality, and the cost of injury and illness to injured pediatric patients in Utah. Adding funds to the contract from the 2024 Legislative Session from budget adjustments for support of the network and adjustments to moving over to DPS on 7/1/2024.
