Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Salt Lake Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest is acquiring fuels management services to treat vegetation to reduce the risk of catastrophic wildland fires and improve wildlife habitat in the Central Wasatch project area. Work includes thinning stands of conifer (mainly Douglas, White, and Subalpine firs and some Juniper), aspen, and deciduous trees and brush (mainly Gambel Oak & Maple) and piling the slash for burning. The baseline minimum acres on this project will be 765 acres. However there is the potential to increase the acreage up to 1,033 acres depending on the bid price and our available budget. This task order requires the Contractor to furnish labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals to perform the work in areas identified on the attached site maps. Bids must be submitted on a price per acre basis.
