The University of Utah (University) on behalf of the UIT Data Center is seeking a local Toshiba certified Area Service Provider to provide and install parts in Toshiba UPS equipment. This work will be performed on five individual Toshiba G9000 650kVA and will be to replace the serviceable 10-year life cycle internal components (parts list provided) of each. Proposed items or systems must be able to provide services as described in the attached scope of work and minimum specifications.
Conforming to Toshiba manufacturer approved service procedures, the Vendor shall perform the bypass or de-energization necessary to replace the identified parts, perform replacements, inspect new work, perform startup, update software or firmware related to the serviced components, and bring systems back online into normal active service. All work must be clearly defined and written by the Vendor in the “METHOD OF PROCEDURE” document (provided at check-in during every site visit), reviewed and signed by both the Vendor and the Data Center Management, prior to any work. Planned outages to the electrical path fed by each UPS must be coordinated with the Data Center Engineering Staff and Data Center Manger. Planned outages must be presented to the Data Center Manager, the Data Center Manger must present the proposed schedule and scope of planned outage to the University on the following Monday (excluding U of U observed holidays) for review and approval by the University Change Advisory Board. The planned work must be no sooner than 10 business days following the Monday presentation to the Change Advisory Board.
