NOTICE TO ARCHITECTS / ENGINEERS
The University of Utah (U Facilities) is soliciting the services of qualified firms/individuals to perform design services for the following project:

Project Description:
Design SCOPE OF WORK will need to include:
The Tenant Improvement build-out for the Life Sciences Building at the University of Utah. The College of Science is currently anticipated to house the following spaces:
ACADEMIC PROGRAM: 39,358 GSF
· General Assigned Classrooms (3 VR Ready)
- Virtual Reality Classroom (1)
· Biology Class Labs (1)
-Biology Lab Support (1)
-Biology Discussion (1)
-Biology Comp Class lab (1)

Special Constraints:
The design will potentially encompass a vivarium to support the OCM and Biological Sciences missions within the Life Science Bldg.
Vivarium:
To function within the renovated facilities to include animal housing (clean and dirty), procedure rooms, behavioral rooms, pigeon housing (clean and dirty), aquatics, and vivarium support.
Construction Budget: $11,022,032.00
The selection shall be under the Value Based Selection method. The Solicitation for A/E Services documents, including the proposal requirements and the selection criteria and Project Schedule, will be available at 9:00 AM MT on February 3, 2025 on the BidNet Direct website. A MANDATORY Pre-Proposal Meeting and Site Visit will be held at 3:00 PM MT on February 12, 2025 at Life Sciences Building (7) at the U of U Campus, 255 S. 1400 E., Salt Lake City, UT 84112. All design firms wishing to submit on this project must attend this meeting.
Proposal dates for the required references, management plans, statements of qualifications, and interviews will be based on the Project Schedule included in the Solicitation for A/E Services.
