Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Submit a project plan to designated AOE staff that includes, but is not limited to: a. A comprehensive timeline and workplan to achieve the intended objectives. Workplan must include: i. Proposed activities to be implemented to support the educational needs of homeless children and youth. ii. Methods to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed strategies and activities in supporting homeless children and youth in attaining their educational goals. iii. Proposed dates for a kick-off meeting to finalize the timeline and expectations. iv. Proposed dates for regular meetings between the contractor and AOE, for the purposes of providing updates on progress. 2. Conduct outreach to identify children and youth who are experiencing homelessness and in need of additional support in order to obtain a diploma/GED. 3. Implement strategies and activities to support the needs of homeless children and youth in achieving their long-term educational goals. Such activities could include, but are not limited to: a. Standardized test preparation b. Targeted tutoring c. Adult basic education services d. Workforce development training e. Connection to and support in accessing post-secondary opportunities 4. Implement strategies and activities to ensure children and youth experiencing homelessness that receive educational services by the Contractor are also connected to other community-based organizations and/or local service providers that can provide housing support, mental health/counseling, prevention/intervention services, etc. 5. Evaluate the chosen strategies and activities at least quarterly during the contract period to determine the effectiveness in supporting homeless children and youth in attaining their educational goals.
