Specifications include, but are not limited to: Career Coaching Services Career Coaching Services must be carried out in accordance with State Reach Up Rules 2200, State Reach Up Services Rules 2300, and SNAP E&T Toolkit (found at https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/et-policy-and-guidance). Career coaching services shall be performed in person (office, community, home), over the phone, and remotely using available virtual options. Services may involve the handling of individual’s Personal Health Information (PHI). The Career Coaches shall: • Participate fully as a member of the District Office Reach Up Team and attend all Reach Up team meetings. Career Coaches may work from home following the state teleworking policy. They shall be required to spend time in the district office depending on the needs of the district. • Fully participate with local employment groups such as, but not limited to, Creative Workforce Solutions (CWS) teams and Vermont Department of Labor meetings, to effectively coordinate their employment approach for participants and provide on-site support. • Share leads about employment, education, and training opportunities with the District Office Reach Up Team at regular meetings and via email. • Receive case assignments directly from the District Office Reach Up Supervisors or designated team member, and act as the lead coach for that assignment. • Meet regularly with District Reach Up Supervisor to discuss on-going case load and assignments. • Communicate with participants using their preferred method of communication; this includes mail, email, phone, FaceTime, virtual meetings, and text. • Offer all meetings to participants in their preferred location, including office, community, home and virtual. • Attempt to contact the participant by all methods of available communication known to the career coach and ESD. • Contact assigned participants within three (3) business days of case assignment. The first initial appointment offered should be no greater than ten (10) business days after the assignment date. ▪ Meet with each participant to provide an overview of the available Career Coaching services and component services (see Reference Form D in Appendix B for more information/definitions). ▪ Conduct an intake interview (defined as the initial meeting(s) during which intake paperwork is completed; required assessments are initiated as defined by ESD Reach Up Procedures). ▪ Assist each participant in identifying their goal(s) for improving their finances. ▪ Develop an individualized employment, education, and/or training plan that includes each participant’s goal(s) and identified steps to complete towards the goal(s).
