The State seeks proposals for the following: 1) Organize, coordinate, and host a statewide, in-person conference focused on waste reduction, reuse, repair, refurbishing, remanufacturing, and repurposing in Vermont. a) Set-up and attend a pre-planning meeting with the State to discuss the conference and network goals and ideas. b) Choose a date, venue and online registration platform. Conference date must be approved by the State. The contractor is responsible for all costs and will reserve the venue and manage the registration platform. Registration fees may be charged but must not exceed $25 per person. Contractor must provide at least ten (10) conference scholarships. 2) Agenda and Event Coordination: The agenda will be developed in coordination with State staff with input from various stakeholders. The contractor will: a) Solicit and compile workshop proposals, including proposing any plenary speaker(s), and send to DEC staff for pre-approval. b) Contact at least ten (10) reuse and repair professionals to help develop conference format and determine what would motivate them to attend a conference. For example, is cost a barrier to participation? c) Register and coordinate all speakers and facilitators, including any necessary payment of a plenary speaker(s) (such as hotel, speaking fee, or travel costs, etc.). d) Manage event technology and logistics, such as running webinar platform, coordinating food, setting and cleaning up, potentially securing sponsors and donations, etc. e) Develop a conference evaluation, encourage attendees to fill it out, and collect responses. f) Collect PDFs of Power Point presentations and post on conference or State website...
