Project 1: Conduct a study and produce a report on the current status of access to women’s health services in the state, existing impediments to access, and ways to improve access. The study will be a broad health insurance market scan focusing on access to women’s health services and maternal health services. It will include the use of interviews of key stakeholders, survey tools, focus groups, review of consumer complaints, and review of plan documents. The goal will be to identify areas in which access falls short of best practice standards and to pinpoint the cause, which may be related to coverage, the delivery system, communication/education issues, or established, historical patterns of accessing care. The end product will be a report with recommendations to be used on Project 2, described below. 1.4. Project 2: Conduct outreach and education activities in support of improved access to women’s health services. This partnership will involve the creation of educational materials, including content for social media, to be used by the Department. Additionally, the vendor will assist in publicizing the findings of the study and report detailed in Project 1, ensuring broader awareness and engagement with the results
