The scope of work for this RFP is the mitigation of nuisance animals. The Vermont Agency of Transportation is seeking licensed trappers to remove problem animals from our roadways and structures to preserve the integrity of our infrastructure. The State would like bids for removal, elimination, or relocation of these problem animals. This work will be done within the States right of way on interstates and secondary routes as well as State owned property such as rest areas and garage facilities. The trapping services shall follow all Fish and Wildlife game laws and regulations. The following site is available for additional guidance and information: https://vtfishandwildlife.com/. The chosen parties shall be familiar with all the current laws and regulations and will be responsible for obtaining new information as it becomes available. All laws and regulations will apply even in the off season trapping of nuisance animals. The chosen parties will be contacted by the State when the need for services arise. The chosen party will need to provide proof of service to a state representative before payment of services will be approved. Proof of service will be mutually determined by the chosen party and the state representative. At all times during the performance of services, the chosen party will be required to carry written authorization from the state indicating permission to perform services at the requested location(s). The document will be available to verify authorization should it be requested by Law Enforcement or other interested entity.
