Furnish all labor, services, and resources to the VDOE and identified LEAs for the purpose of attendance recovery to students identified by school staff due to disengagement, chronic absenteeism, or academic barriers. Use messaging consistent with the VDOE strategy to recruit LEAs though webinar presentations and informational fliers. Provide documentation that parent/guardian approval is received prior to any outreach. Provide multiple methods of outreach to re-engage students and families including in-person meetings, virtual meetings, print, email, phone, and text messaging communication. Provide assistance to students and their support teams (parents, school staff, and community partners) through personalized in-person and virtual sessions at least twice monthly regarding individualized tiered attendance strategies such as academic coaching and mentoring support.
