1. The bulk rock salt must be available for delivery to the City of Portsmouth from the successful bidder Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on an “As Needed Basis.” 2. Successful bidder shall have the ability to deliver salt with five (5) business days from the time of order. 3. Deliveries shall be made to: City of Portsmouth Operations Center Public Works 2001 Frederick Blvd. Portsmouth, VA 23707 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 4. Bidders shall include in their bid submittal the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for the products offered. 5. The salt shall be fresh salt and shall be treated with an anti-caking agent. Reclaimed salt will not be acceptable. 6. The salt shall consist of a minimum of 97% Sodium Chloride and shall meet the following requirements: A. Retained on 3/8” Mesh - Maximum 3% B. Retained on #8 Screen - 50% to 90% C. Retained on #10 Screen - Minimum 90%
