The City has issued the ITB to obtain Bids from qualified Bidders and enter a Contract for the provision of construction services for adding an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) lift, pool office, and family changing room at Chinquapin Park Recreation Center and Aquatics Facility (Chinquapin Recreational Center), located at 3210 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22302. The successful Bidder shall provide all goods, services, labor, supervision, and required bonds and insurance necessary to replace the existing casework, stairway, handrail, and existing pool office. The project shall include furnishing and installing signs for new rooms, furnishing and installing a new lift and also include casework and relocating items listed in the Project Manual, which include but are not limited to light switches, electrical power, etc. This project will include phasing and protection to keep entrances and walkways open and safe to the public. The construction plans and technical specifications are included as separate PDF downloads with the ITB. Dependent upon available funding, the City may elect to exercise the Add Alternate listed in the “Project Bid Alternate” section of the pricing schedule.
