Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Sheriff’s Office is requesting sealed proposals from qualified companies, which would be able to provide commissary services from the vendor’s offsite warehouse to the inmates at the Montgomery County Jail. To help expedite the delivery of orders, we prefer that the warehouse be located within the state. All sales are made via optical scan forms and goods are packaged and delivered back to the facility the next business day. A. The average weekly sales at the present time are 85 inmates at $1,700.00/week. B. There are two (2) floors in the jail which must be served weekly. C. The Department of Corrections rated capacity is 60; the 2017 average population was 83 inmates per day. D. The current network configuration is Active Directory WIN2012 server with WIN 7/ WIN10 clients. E. The current menu has been provided within this RFP and we are more than willing to entertain suggestions for additional items. F. Montgomery County and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office are exempt from sales tax, but the inmates are not. Taxes should be included in the cost to the inmates.
