The City of Galax is seeking bids from qualified Contractors to furnish and install a heating and air system (HVAC) at the Galax Department of Social Services located at 105 E. Center St. Galax, VA 24333, replacing the existing system. The HVAC system must include the specifications described herein. Contractors are required to complete a site visit with City staff at the location of work prior to bid submission. Site visits can be scheduled by contacting City of Galax staff. The City of Galax reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all bids. 1. The Contractor shall replace existing system with a new HVAC unit that is sized appropriately for application. 2. The Contractor shall disconnect, uninstall, and remove existing unit; providing all materials necessary for installation. 3. Furnish, transport, and install new unit on-site at 105 E. Center Street. 4. Provide pricing options on Bid Form with and without the replacement of line sets. 5. All items must be assembled and set in place, ready for use. All crating and other debris must be removed from the premises. 6. The Contract shall make necessary modifications for the unit to be fully functional and operate successfully. 7. All goods and services to be warrantied
