Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1. The overall aim of the EAP is to detect and intervene in problems affecting work productivity and to promote healthy work and lifestyle habits. The EAP provider will help employees, management, and supervisors maintain a high level of productivity by providing standard EAP services to include, but not limited to clinical services for employees and family members, 24-hour crisis intervention, disciplinary diversion, consultation, and training and educational services These services must be offered with special attention paid to both general county employees as well as the unique needs of public safety personnel. 4.2. Participate in a “Disciplinary Diversion” model for employees. 4.3. Safety sensitive substance abuse support. Serve as the Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) as required under the Federal Highway Administration’s alcohol and controlled substance testing program requirements of commercial motor vehicle drivers and assist the County in ensuring compliance with the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988. 4.4. Provide Critical Incident Stress Management and acute crisis management. 4.5. Offer a broad range of concierge and convenience services.
