This solicitation is for the purpose of entering into a contract for the operation of a foodservice program in compliance with the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) regulations for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) for the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice, herein after referred to as the SFA. The respondent is herein referred to as the FSMC. The contract will be between the FSMC and SFA. Background: The Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center is a 24-hour state residential facility located in North Chesterfield, Virginia and currently housing an average 150 residents daily. Resident population may increase up to a maximum of 250 during the next 12-24 months. The residents are made up of male (85% average) and female (10% average) juveniles aged _15 -20 years of age. The Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center residents have meals in their individual housing unit/dorm area. Food is prepared in the kitchen, boxed, and transported to the housing unit.
