Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall provide all effort and materials necessary to provide food services for the inmates of the facilities. Contractor shall furnish nutritious, wholesome, and palatable food. It is estimated that the average number of meals served per seating for the first year of the contract will be approximately one thousand (1,000). It is estimated that about 15 percent of these meals are served to females. It is also estimated that this amount may increase to fourteen hundred (1,400) or may decrease to one thousand (1,000) by the end of the initial contract term. Additionally, Contractor is to be aware of an average inmate population increase on weekends averaging approximately 100 males and 30 females. These are reasonable estimates only made in good faith by the Sheriff’s Office. Contractor shall provide three separate meals per day Monday thru Friday consisting of a hot breakfast, bag lunch and hot supper. On Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays Contractor shall provide a hot breakfast which shall be accompanied by/with an enhanced snack and a separate hot supper in the afternoon. Sheriff’s Office Work Force Inmates will receive in addition to their regular inmate meal one addition meal for supper on Saturday and Sunday. Additional Work force meals to be billed at regular meal rate.
