The following is a description of new Honor Guard uniforms the Virginia Beach Police Department Honor Guard Unit is interested in having customized and ordered. This order will include 19 uniforms. Alterations of the coat and trousers will be completed by the uniform company. The jacket and trousers will be made of a 55% Polyester/45% Wool blend cloth. The jacket will be a navy blue high-collar dress coat with epaulettes. The high-collar dress coat will have powder blue trim or a similar shade of blue trim. The trim will run on the top and bottom of the collar, shoulder epaulettes, down the front center line of the coat, and around the bottom hem of the coat. There will be two standard pleated pockets on the top portion of the coat. The coat will have (5) gold "P" police buttons down the front center line of the coat, and (1) gold "P" police button centered on the top portion of each pleated pocket (2). The sleeves will have (3) small gold "P" police buttons attached to the outer edge of each sleeve. Badge tabs (holders) will be attached to the coat along with (4) belt hooks. The Department shoulder patch will be attached below the left shoulder seam. The Honor Guard Unit shoulder patch will be attached below the right shoulder seam. The trousers will match the navy-blue tone of the coat and have a one inch (1") trouser braid running down the side seam of the leg matching the accent powder blue trim color on the coat. A slim navy-blue braid (which matches navy trouser base color) will be centered on the 1" powder blue trouser braid. The trouser alterations and hem will be completed by the uniform company.
