THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. This Sources Sought is in support of Market Research being conducted by the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) to identify any potential business manufacturers who are capable, qualified, and interested in satisfying requirements of theDefense Commissary Agency (DeCA). As permitted by FAR Part 10, this is a market research tool being utilized for informational and planning purposes. Your responses will assist the Government in the development of its acquisition strategy for a possible Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ), to be issued at a later date, and in determining whether any type of small business set-aside is possible for this procurement or whether full and open competitive procedures should be utilized. This is not a formal solicitation nor is this a Request for Quote/Proposal, nor an indication that a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. The Government makes no assurance that any subsequent solicitation shall be issued and no award willbe made directly in response of information received in response to this notice. Information sought is for the purposes of satisfying minimum market research requirements IAW FAR Pt 10 MarketResearch, in order to develop an acquisition strategy and gauge the level of interest of businessmanufacturers. The government does not intend to award a contract directly on the basis of thismarket research.
The purpose of this sources sought is to gain knowledgeof, level of interest, capabilities and qualifications of business manufacturer’s that are interested in the possibility of competing in a subsequent competitive solicitation, should one follow this SourcesSought. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for thisprocurement. The Government is interested in all businesses manufactures and resellers. TheGovernment requests that interested parties respond to this notice if capable and qualify as abusiness manufacturer under NAICS Code 334519 Size Standard 600 Employees. If solicitation isreleased, it will be synopsized and posted on the SAM.gov website. It is the responsibility of thepotential off erors to monitor that site for additional information pertaining to this requirement.
Response is strictly voluntary - it is not mandatory to submit a response to this notice to participate in any RFQ process that may take place in the future. However, it should be noted that information gathered through this notice may significantly influence our acquisition strategy. All interested parties will be required to respond separately to any solicitations posted as a result of this sources sought notice.
DESCRIPTION: The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is seeking potential business manufacturersand resellers capable of supplying Key Control Cabinets in support of 245 Commissaries to includeCONUS, OCONUS (Puerto Rico, Europe, Far East), and Alaska and Hawaii.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this eff ort is 334519 – Other Measuringand Controlling Device Manufacturing.
Submission Instructions: Responses via email are due 12PM EST. Monday, November 4, 2024 to Mr. Jonathan Castro at jonathan.castro@deca.mil and must include the information requested below. Responses greater than 10 double-sided pages (including all attachments) will not be considered. Late responses will not be accepted. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain any questions. The item description has been provided to further explain this requirement.
