Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.5.2 Lifts capable of reaching cones at least 80 feet in working height are required for loblolly harvesting and lifts capable of reaching 100 feet in working height are required for shortleaf harvesting. 2.5.3 Crew will pick all cones from trees that the Department has selected. 2.5.4 Work crew shall include at least one (1) working foreman fluent in English. 2.5.5 All equipment shall meet OSHA requirements. 2.5.6 No trees will be damaged in picking or by moving equipment. Specifically, no tree limbs are to be broken. Care shall be made not to damage conelets for next year’s crop. 2.5.7 Cones will be collected by families as directed by the forester. 2.5.8 Crates with 20-bushel capacity will be provided for measure and storage of cones.
