Specifications include, but are not limited to: Conduct PRS Training virtually for various VADOC facilities: 1. Allow each training session to include 12 - 14 inmate participants. 2. Coordinate with the facility staff to develop the training schedule that will be used at each facility. 3. Ensure that training facilitators are DBHDS certified instructors. 4. Facilitate PRS 25 hours of post-training supervision in the areas of a) advocacy, b) ethics and professionalism, c) mentoring and shared learning, and d) wellness and recovery support. 5. Upon completion of each supervision meeting, PRS trainers will provide a report to selected facility staff, electronically of offender progress in the utilization of PRS skills. 6. Ensure that skills supervision meetings are led by certified PRS trainers. 7. Screen training facilitators for preferred peer experience in the criminal justice system. 8. Designate a contract administrator to be the point of contact with whom DOC can address issues/concerns as they arise. 9. Immediately report any concerns for the safety of an inmate or the safety of other inmates, or for the safety of the facility, to the Mental Health Clinician at the site immediately or as soon as possible so that a risk assessment can be completed to ensure the safety of those in attendance and within the facility. 10. Provide evidence-based services to assist and support inmates in their recovery.
