Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Provide advice to the Board on Plan(s) governance, investment options, regulatory considerations, plan(s) design, fees, expenses and industry best practices; B. Review existing investment lineup for performance, fees and fit; C. Screen and select new options, as appropriate; D. Monitor, report, and provide recommendations to the Board on fund performance; E. Meet with the Board quarterly. As needed report/advise/update/brief City Council. All reports should be personalized for City of Roanoke. F. Review and benchmark all plan(s) related fees; G. Responsible for timely notification to city of any investment news that in any way impacts the plan(s); H. Available for ad hoc projects to be included in on-going services/costs; I. Review Investment Policy Statement and update as necessary; J. Conduct Directed Trustee/record keeper searches, if necessary and/or requested by Board; K. Provide fiduciary training to the Board as needed L. Advise/assist Board with other Plan-related Policy Statements (ie. Loan Policy, involuntary Rollovers for balances) M. Provide education, guidance/advice to plan participants to supplement and enhance educational resources provided by the Plan’s record-keeper N. Provide education, guidance/advice to plan participants across demographic segments of the employee population to prepare for and to assess retirement readiness.
