Bears Bluff National Fish Hatchery is located in Charleston County, South Carolina. The hatchery is seeking 800 tons of FLBC (ROC limestone, aka: crusher run) base and 800 tons of #57 Slag on multiple hatchery dirt and gravel roads, some open to public access. This material shall be tailgate spread.
Delivery and tailgate spread FLBC and #57 Slag will occur between September 15 and November 15, 2022 as needed. Minimum daily load delivery is 30 loads until complete.
Delivery locations are public roads and roads frequently used by hatchery staff. Contractor shall tailgate spread material at an even thickness without excessive dumping that blocks the road from normal vehicle travel.
The hatchery will provide contractor notification of dates within the above date range when materials are needed. This notification will be made 10 days prior to these dates. The contractor shall provide delivery date(s) spanning 1 to 3 continuous days within 7 days of notification and will deliver material as scheduled unless weather conditions prohibit. If a tropical system (depression, tropical storm, or hurricane) develops and the hatchery is within the 5-day projected cone during the scheduled dates of delivery, the delivery will be cancelled by the hatchery with as much notice as possible.
Invoices for partial payments will be accepted.
