Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. All Contractor equipment shall meet the requirements listed below. The number and type of equipment required is outlined on each bid line. a. Single Axle Dump Spreader and Plow Vehicles: Single Axle Spreader/Plow vehicles shall be equipped with snowplow minimum of eleven (11) feet in length, approximately 30 inches in height, and 1,800 pounds in weight, a chemical spreader with a minimum of five (5) cubic yards or equivalent material capacity, and AVL unit. . b. Single Axle Dump Plow Only Vehicles: Single Axle Plow only vehicles shall be equipped with a snowplow minimum of eleven (11) feet in length, approximately 30 inches in height, and 1,800 pounds in weight, and AVL unit. c. Tandem/ Multi-axle Spreader and Plow Vehicles: Tandem/Multi-axle vehicles shall be equipped with a snowplow minimum of eleven (11) feet in length, approximately 30 inches in height, and 1,800 pounds in weight, a chemical spreader with a minimum of eight (8) cubic yards or equivalent material capacity and AVL unit. d. Tandem/ Multi-axle Plow Only Vehicles: Tandem/Multi-axle vehicles shall be equipped with a snowplow minimum of eleven (11) feet in length, approximately 30 inches in height, and 1,800 pounds in weight and AVL unit. e. Supervisor Vehicles: Each supervisor’s vehicle shall be a pickup or SUV and be equipped with appropriate flashing lights and means of communicating with their operators. Four-wheel drive is recommended, with AVL unit.
