The intent of this service is to combat adverse weather conditions in a comprehensive and orderly manner that results in a high level of quality and safety for Virginia ABC and its customers. The Contractor shall ensure that snow and/or ice are removed from the contracted Virginia ABC Store, prior to the location’s opening, seven (7) days a week. 1. Without advance approval from Virginia ABC, the Contractor shall immediately proceed with snow removal upon snowfall ceasing and at least three (3) inches of snow accumulation, or if a Virginia ABC Store Manager or designee requests snow removal before three (3) inches of snow has accumulated. Timing of the clearing shall be coordinated for employees to arrive at the location by 8:00 AM (EST) and leave as needed. 2. Contractor must be available and respond immediately upon notification from the Virginia ABC designee and Contractor must respond to requests to perform snow/ice removal within two (2) hours of contact. a. Parking lot grates and gutter drains shall not be blocked by piles of snow to allow for water to drain from the site when the snow or ice is melting.
