Isle of Wight County is seeking the services of experienced consultants to develop a SS4A compliant Multimodal Safety and Mobility Action Plan for Isle of Wight County. The County’s Board of Supervisors has adopted a Vision Zero resolution and is committed to eliminating fatalities and severe injuries on our roadways by implementing infrastructure improvements through a safe system approach. This approach involves creating new facilities and transforming existing facilities to safely accommodate all road users. The Action Plan will identify and prioritize safety strategies and project types utilizing a comprehensive approach to roadway, safety, emergency response and enforcement improvements and will be used as a resource document for future safety improvements, including funding requests to the Federal Highway Administration’s SS4A program. Per 2 CFR 200.320, Contractors that developed or drafted specifications, requirements, statements of work, or invitation for bids or requests for proposals are excluded from competing for this procurement.
