Contractor shall provide lowboy equipment hauling services for the Northern Virginia District Equipment Shop. Equipment hauling services shall include all labor, equipment, fuel, supplies, tools, supervision, transportation, delivery, permits and all such direct and indirect overhead cost associated with providing this service. The types of equipment to be hauled may consist of, but are not limited to, graders, backhoes, loaders, trucks, bridge fabrication supplies, and road barricades. The service may require hauling equipment that is over-weight, over-length and over-width. Some equipment may not be operational and shall require manual loading and unloading. Request for services will be on an as-needed basis within the Counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William. In rare instances the Contractor may be required to haul equipment to or from other regions within the Commonwealth and Maryland. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring all equipment hauling is performed within accepted industry transportation standards and conforms to all DOT, Federal, State, and local traffic regulations.
