Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Working collaboratively with relevant government agencies, including but not limited to Community Justice Services Pretrial Services Unit (PSU) and City and County public defenders to help identify eligible clients and raise awareness of value of the program with defense counsel. • Assisting participants in achieving the case management goals developed by the PSU. Case management goals may include, but not be limited to the provision of services or referral to services such as housing, behavioral health treatment, public benefits, vocational and educational services, transportation, and civil legal aid. • Developing, maintaining, and leveraging partnerships with other relevant community-based service providers to facilitate participant stabilization upon release. • Remaining in contact with defense counsel and providing counsel with updates, when requested. • Ensuring navigation managers attend all court appearances for assigned participants. • Recommending early termination of services to the PSU case manager when an individual successfully completes pretrial case management goals. • Developing policies and practices for identifying and providing concrete services to participants (e.g. bus passes, application fees). • Developing culturally competent methods and techniques for ensuring equity in service delivery. • Maintaining a current database and all necessary documentation of services and performance metrics. • Complying with all monthly, quarterly, annual reporting requirements. Reports will record identified data metrics defined by Community Justice Service and may include, but not be limited to, number of participants referred, number of participants engaged, demographics data, etc. • Participating in evaluation of the program model.
