- Access to tree from Junction of Hwy 30 and Forest Road (FR) 3065: proceed 0.45 mile and turn right/north onto Forest Rd. 5401.
- Proceed 0.35 mile (crossing Trapper Crk bridge) keep left and stay on FR 5401
- Proceed through Orange gate (FS can unlock) for another 0.5 mile to TREE
There is a need to have a large tree felled on Forest Road 5401. This hazard tree in striking distance of private cabins that are located on leased National Forest System lands (part of the Government Mineral Springs Recreation Residence). The tree is cracked and leaning toward a cabin. It has the potential to threaten life and property. The contract will commence from contract award to June 30th,, 2024. This is a Firm Fixed Price.
The tree is at the start of the driveway for Cabin 47 of the Government Mineral Springs Tract located on Forest Road 5401, just south of the Trapper Creek Wilderness. The legal land description is: NW ¼ Sec. 31, T. 5N., R.7E., Willamette Meridian, Skamania County, Washington.
No Pre Bid Meeting will be held. Project Bidders are advised to visit the project site prior to bidding to be familiar with the projects road system and the access to each site.
