Spokane County (“the County”), Detention Services currently contracts with Naphcare to provide medical, pharmacy and dental services to inmates at both the Geiger and the Downtown Jail facilities as well as a small number of Juvenile inmates who maintain adult charges and are housed in the juvenile center. The Naphcare contract terminates in 2024 and therefore we must undergo a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a potential new vendor to supply these existing services in addition to Behavioral Health services in the future. It is Spokane County’s intention to utilize the Best Value RFP approach in selecting a new vendor by the Summer of 2024 with a transition to a new vendor expected to take place in Q4 of 2024 or Q1 of 2025.
