Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide quality, affordable, healthy, convenient, and profitable food services for the College’s students, employees, public clients (who rent space for events), and visitors. The successful Vendor will use existing College cafeteria space and college provided and Vendor provided equipment to provide cafeteria and catering food and beverage services to the college community. ▪ All interested Vendors are invited to present their services and abilities for an objective review during the RFP process. Financial impact to the College, experience, references, quality, variety, and service will be vital considerations in the award of the contract. ▪ Current College facilities include a kitchen in the Pagoda Union Building (PUB) 9000. A portion of this kitchen will be shared with a separate contracted Vendor that specialized in coffee, espresso, and small takeaway food items. Vending machines are on separate contracts with the College’s Foundation and are not part of this RFP. ▪ The initial term of this contract is from the date current College food services spaces are operationally to code, Vendor has occupied this space, and Vendor is prepared to launch daily meal services. The initial service period will be four consecutive academic quarters from date of Vendor food services launch. This contract, may, when mutually agreeable, be renewed under the same terms and conditions of this contract for a period not to exceed one (1) year at a time for a total not to exceed five (5) years. ▪ The College provides equal access to its programs and services for all people without regard to race, creed, color, religion, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, or disability. Each unit has a kitchenette. These residents are not required to purchase a “food plan,” but the College would like to consider their needs during the Vendor selection process and final contract negotiations. ▪ The College is currently providing food options to the campus community through an “honor system,” takeaway food market through Avanti, contracting with Seattle Food Trucks, vending machines, and a College provided shuttle service for students to purchase groceries and other supplies. ▪ Depending upon the Financial Model submitted by the responding Vendor to this RFP, i.e. sales commission or cost plus management fee, and the proposal to provide food service in the breakfast, lunch, and evenings and after hours, the takeaway food market and food truck contract may remain in place; otherwise, agreements may be terminated after a contractually required notice period to each of these separate Vendors. The College is interested in receiving Vendor’s feedback and consideration of this in their Financial Proposal. ▪ If the Vendor has available technology, the College would be interested in a declining-balance prepaid food services card.
